Respondent experience
Understand what participants need before they complete a Lemma study.
Participants should understand three things before they answer:
- why they are being asked
- whether the study is text or voice
- that Lemma may ask follow-up questions
The experience should feel like a short guided conversation, not a long form.
Set expectations in the invite
Good invite language:
We are using Lemma to understand your experience in more depth than a static form can capture. You will answer a few questions, and Lemma may ask follow-ups based on what you say.
Help participants give better answers
Ask for concrete experience, not opinions in the abstract.
Good prompt language:
- Describe what happened.
- Give an example if you can.
- Tell us what you expected instead.
- Share what would have made this easier.
Weak prompt language:
- Tell us any thoughts.
- Please provide feedback.
- What do you think?
Current screenshot gap
The read-only example study had a View survey button, but the route returned a 404 during the product audit. Capture a working participant flow from an editable study before publishing this page with screenshots.
Next step
After participants complete sessions, review participant sessions.
