Lemma Docs
Learn how to run adaptive studies that replace shallow forms with richer answers, transcripts, summaries, Doc, Slides, and decisions.
Use these docs when you want to turn a question into evidence your team can use.
Lemma is organized around a simple self-serve workflow: design the study, reach the right people, collect sessions, understand the evidence, and share findings. The app calls each adaptive form or interview a study. People complete sessions. Completed sessions become Responses, transcripts, Research Agent answers, Doc, Slides, and exports.
Use Lemma when a static form would collect an answer, but the real value is in the follow-up: the reason, example, objection, tradeoff, quote, or next step behind that answer.
Choose Your Path
Run your first study
Create one study, choose text or voice, set follow-up depth, and know where results appear.
Replace a static form
Decide when Lemma should replace Typeform, Google Forms, or another shallow intake flow.
Design the right conversation
Start from a goal, template, guide, or brain dump and shape the prompts around a decision.
Reach the right people
Import participants, build segments, define topics, and use properties for targeting.
Understand the evidence
Review sessions, verify transcripts, ask the Research Agent, and decide what is grounded.
Share findings
Turn interviews into a Doc, Slides, exports, or a stakeholder-ready summary.
The Core Loop
Define the decision
Start with the decision the study should support. A strong study asks for evidence your team can act on, not generic feedback.
Design the adaptive study
Choose text or voice, choose follow-up depth, and give Lemma enough context to ask useful follow-up questions.
Collect sessions
Share the study link or target participants from Contacts and Segments.
Synthesize the evidence
Use Responses, transcripts, Chat, Doc, and Slides to move from individual answers to decision-ready findings.

What To Read First
Start from a goal
Use this when you know what you need to learn, but have not written the study yet.
Choose follow-up depth
Match Quick pulse, Standard interview, or Deep dive to the level of evidence you need.
Review participant sessions
Inspect participant summaries, transcripts, and answer columns before trusting a synthesis.
Create a stakeholder-ready Doc
Use the generated Doc when you need a research artifact, not just a table of responses.
