Connect the LinkedIn profile you want Lemma to use for outbound.
The intended account appears under Settings → Sender. A healthy verified connection normally shows Connected and Ready.
Before you start
Use an account you control and are allowed to use. If you manage several LinkedIn profiles, confirm the selected identity before continuing.
Connect the account
Open LinkedIn settings
Open Settings → Sender. If no Sender exists, the page shows Connect your LinkedIn Sender.
Choose Connect
Choose Connect and finish the provider-hosted authentication flow. Return to Lemma after the provider window completes.
Wait for verification
The connection is not authoritative until provider verification settles. A healthy connection normally becomes Ready automatically.
If Lemma cannot verify the latest state, it preserves the last verified view as read-only and offers Retry.
Verify the identity
Check the displayed Sender name, LinkedIn identity, connection badge, and provider status. If the identity is wrong, do not queue more work. Follow Replace the account.
Review the active schedule
Check Invitations/day, Messages/day, active days, start and end times, and timezone. The daily targets are desired ceilings; the current effective limits can be lower while capacity warms up or another safety limit binds. Choose Save settings after a change.
If the Sender remains in Dry run
Dry run is an exceptional or older state. If Activate sending is available:
- verify the account identity and schedule;
- choose Activate sending;
- confirm the execution badge changes to Ready.
Do not look for a generic Activate button on every new connection.
Ready and full capacity are different
A Ready Sender can execute eligible work, but its effective invitation and message limits warm up automatically. The ramp begins with the first provider-authorized outreach activity, not when the account connects or becomes Ready.
Read Sender readiness, schedule, and capacity before increasing the first Mission’s audience.
Other outcomes
Restricted
Read the execution reason shown directly under the state. Resolve that account or provider condition; there is no separate “state detail” screen to open.
Unavailable execution
Read the reason under the execution badge. Depending on the verified state, Reconnect, Replace, or schedule controls can remain available. Retry is not the general recovery action for this badge.
Sender readiness is unavailable
Choose Retry when the page uses this exact heading. Lemma cannot verify an authoritative page state, so execution controls are absent. A stale projection similarly keeps the last verified state read-only until Retry succeeds.
Reconnect is rejected
A disconnected Sender can show Reconnect even when its stored provider identity proof is incomplete. If Reconnect is rejected or Settings cannot verify that it is the same LinkedIn identity, do not retry repeatedly. Use Support.
The connection flow failed
The previous Sender and execution state are not replaced. Start Connect, Reconnect, or Replace again only after confirming which operation you intended. Do not use Connect to repair an existing disconnected Sender.
