Understand Evidence

Choose the right analysis surface

Understand how Lemma turns sessions into summaries, evidence, and outputs.

In Lemma, analysis happens in several surfaces:

  • Responses for session-level review
  • Transcripts for source evidence
  • Research Agent for questions across study data
  • Doc for a structured research document
  • Slides for a presentation-style output

Start with Responses

Use the Sessions table to see what came in and inspect individual sessions.

A Lemma Responses table with completed sessions.
Responses is the operational analysis surface: participants, status, summaries, transcripts, and answer columns.

Then Use Outputs

Open Doc when you need a research-style artifact with figures, quotes, and recommendations.

Open Slides when you need a presentation-style output.

Open Chat when you want to ask the Research Agent a question about the study.

What good analysis should produce

A good study should help you say something more specific than "customers are unhappy."

Good output:

  • "Three customers cancelled after setup friction created a two-week delay."
  • "Pricing was not the first reason; it became a reason after onboarding failed."
  • "The strongest quote is about losing trust after repeated manual workarounds."

Next step

Read Create a stakeholder-ready Doc for the most complete generated artifact observed in the product audit.
