Handle replies in Outbox

Read an inbound LinkedIn reply and use the limited current response action without inventing pipeline controls.

On this page

Inbound LinkedIn replies appear inside the related Outbox Sequence. Lemma does not currently provide a separate primary Inbox for this workflow.

Read the reply

Find the Sequence

Use Needs you when the reply creates an available action, or open the Lead’s Sequence from another Outbox view.

Confirm the context

Check the Lead, Mission, Sender, prior planned touches, inbound body, received time, and displayed handling status.

Review the suggestion

If present, Suggested response is read-only. The current Outbox does not provide a generic editor for it.

Queue only when appropriate

For a Manual Sequence, Queue reply can appear when Lemma has a suggested response it is allowed to queue. This queues that suggestion verbatim with the originating Sender.

If the action is absent or the suggestion is wrong, do not assume it was queued. Handle the conversation outside this control only after checking that no Lemma reply is pending.

What happens to the cold Sequence

An inbound reply automatically stops the matching future Manual cold Sequence. Verify the Sequence outcome and history before creating any new follow-up work.

An explicit do-not-contact reply can also add the Lead to the LinkedIn Do not contact registry. Review that record under Settings → Do not contact. Undo removes the suppression only; it does not restart the stopped Sequence or re-arm a Mission.

Current limitations

Outbox does not currently expose generic controls to:

  • edit the suggested response;
  • mark the reply Handled or Booked;
  • change the Lead’s pipeline stage;
  • classify the reply as Interested;
  • manually stop every related Mission or Sender from the reply card.

The raw handling status may be visible, but this guide does not treat it as an editable workflow state.

A reply is not a qualified outcome

Read the actual conversation and Mission criteria. A positive or polite reply does not prove qualification, a booking, or revenue.

Next action

Return to the Mission for the next decision, or use Pause, hold, stop, or complete work when a wider stop is needed.
